Awesome bands but bad sound mix
This was my first show at Jannus live and if they mix their audio like this every time, it will probably be my last. Love the band, probably one of the best live groups currently in the metal scene. It was nothing but wobbly sub bass and kick drum. There was zero guitar in the mix cutting through, vocals got covered for a lot of it, barely any snare. They mixed and EQ’d metal like it was a freaking Rap or EDM concert, incredibly solid and tight. Someone clearly doesn't know how to mix, let alone balance a sub. Maxing out the bass doesn’t make something heavier, that's not how metal works live. It was literally just loud and obnoxious bass for 3 hrs straight. I felt sorry for the bands because they put on a great show, but the sound engineers completely sabotaged it. It was a lot of people's first time hearing the bands live too, and this left such a bad impression because you had no idea what they were playing. It was just Kick and Bass. For $86, I REALLY expected more from the audio quality. No way someone who calls themselves “professional” thought that sounded good. If so, drug test your staff, lol.
